June 7, 2007
Late last month, several club members got together and spent a day cleaning up around the clubhouse. They trimmed trees, repaired the stairs, and chopped up a pile of firewood.
Other changes included the installation of the new Airdrie Flying CLub logo on the outside of the clubhouse. Airport information will follow in the near future.
After spending several days watching the skies for a break in the rain, mother nature allowed us to hold our June meeting outdoors. A fire was lit, beer and donuts consumed, and the
local swarms of mosquitos well fed. Several pilots also visited. Thomas Thomas brought his new Murphy Moose, Rick Appleton and his son visited in a Cessna 120, and new club member
Larry Beaver took his family for their first flight in a Piper Commanche.
